Craters of the Moon National Monument is a totally weird place in the middle of Idaho. You drive along Hwy. 20. As far as the eye can see, yellow soil and small, windblown, greenish-gray scrubs seem to be the only tourist attraction in Idaho. Then all of a sudden, in the middle of nowhere, the soil turns pitch black. 10 miles further down the road different volcanic structures shoots out of the ground. Very fascinating. Very weird!
